Paying Water Bills
RMWD Customers now have the option of paying their water bill by either credit card, electronic check, or by telephone through Official Payments Corporation, a corporation which is not affiliated with RMWD.
By using this service, you acknowledge that the Ramona Municipal Water District is not responsible for any errors or omissions that could occur by using this service. Please review the "Terms of Use" and "Privacy Policy" on their website by clicking on the website link below.
There is a convenience fee paid to Official Payments Corporation of $6.50 per credit card transaction. With individual transactions not to exceed $500.00. The fee for electronic checks is $3.00 per transaction.
Credit cards accepted are VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, and DISCOVER. Pinless debit cards with a VISA or MASTERCARD logo are also accepted.

If you are paying your bill online you will need to use your computer and log on to: www.officialpayments.com
1. Select option "Make a Payment"
2. Select option "Local Payment"
3. Select "Jurisdiction code" and enter code 1541
or
Enter "State" = California" followed by the "Payment Entity" = Ramona Municipal Water District
4. Lastly, for payment type select "Water Bill".
To make a payment via telephone:
1. Please call 1-800-2PAY-TAX (800-272-9829)
2. Press option 3, enter 1541 ( for RMWD's Jurisdiction #),
3. Press Opt.1, Press Opt. 1, and your RMWD Acct. Number

Starting and Stopping Water Service
START/STOP SERVICE
To start or stop water service call one of Ramona’s Customer Service
Representatives at (760) 788-2200. For quicker service, please
have your account number ready when you call.
To start water service with the Ramona Water District, you need to call prior to the day you want service to begin. Ramona will be able to connect your service within 24 hours.
You will need to provide the following information to our Customer
Service Representatives to begin your service: name, service
address, mailing address and phone numbers.
You will also need to fill out a Customer Reference Form and if you
are a Tenant, the Owner will need to fill out an Owner Authorization
Form.

If you need Adobe Reader installed on your computer, please follow go to http://www.adobe.com/reader.
If it is more convenient, we can leave the forms at the service
address on the day service is to start. You will have 3
working days to return the forms. You may fax them to (760)
788-2255 or deliver them to the office.
STOPPING WATER SERVICE
To stop your services with the Ramona Water District, call us prior
to the day you would like to end service. You will need to
provide our Customer Service Representatives with a forwarding
address for your final bill.

charges, sewer connection charges per EDU (Equivalent Dwelling
Unit) and other general information.
