IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR AGRICULTURAL CUSTOMERS

The PSAWR Program (put on by the San Diego County Water Authority) offers lower water rates to farmers and growers in exchange for a lower level of water service. Farmers and growers who participate in the permanent program will receive a lower level of water service during water shortages or emergencies. That allows the San Diego County Water Authority to reallocate those program supplies to municipal and commercial/industrial (M&I) customers who pay for full water service and reliability benefits. In exchange, participating farmers and growers do not pay the supply rate differential between the Water Authority’s melded water rate and Metropolitan’s Tier 1 water rate, as well as being exempt from paying fixed emergency water storage and supply reliability charges.

In order to be eligible for this program, you need to be on one of the four required lists outlined below. Please note that it is mandatory to remain on a list each year in order to stay eligible for the program (there is an annual audit performed). If a participant who is enrolled into the PSAWR program is ever removed, they will no longer be able to join back into the program in the future (with the exception of a change in ownership to the property) per the SDCWA guidelines.
